DISABILITY ASSESSMENT

A highly skilled multi-disciplinary team provides independent recommendations regarding the payment of incapacity, disability or ill health claims; taking into account already established guidelines within the assessment industry. The process remains objective and factual, as we structure our fees to ensure that we are not incentivized by the outcome. In addition, advice is offered for the ongoing monitoring and management of the employee or claimant.

  • Functional Capacity Assessments / Occupational Therapy Reports: These are formal physical assessments carried out on an individual basis performed by a qualified Occupational Therapist. Collateral information from relevant parties is obtained. A final analysis of the findings results in a recommendation regarding the extent of impairment and the future management of the individual.
  • Rehabilitation and Redeployment: Includes advice on rehabilitation, work-hardening programs and ergonomic restructuring to assist with job accommodation and/or redeployment of employees
  • Job Identification (HR) reports: These provide detail regarding suitable alternative occupations; opportunities for skills transfer, job descriptions; salary scales, etc. Compiled by HR specialists in consultation with Occupational Therapists in circumstances where an employee / claimant cannot continue in his/her original occupation but may be suitable for another occupation
  • Medical Case Management: Relates to the holistic facilitation of treatment or rehabilitation, including referral to network specialists with return-to-work being the ultimate goal.
